True enough, but if I do find myself falling to my death again I have several more bodies to go through, and hopefully they'll each last for quite some time.
You have to understand that you've gone and gotten yourself involved with a truly immortal creature. You know, unless she gets killed. She may be very young, still, for her kind, but you are still younger than her sister. She has a very different view of time and eternity.
*slight smile* But "friendship" has so been done to death.
I'm...beginning to understand that. It will probably take me some time to gets used to the idea - that is, the future me. Both of us. I've never travelled with anyone who could live as long as I, or longer, save for Romana. And she left me.
*wry smile* In theory, I could live as long as you, though the likelihood of it isn't all that high. People have a distressing tendency to want to kill me, though so far I've not encountered any of my kind while traveling, so maybe it's a better thing even than I thought. However, having been raised thinking I was human...*shrugs* My views are somewhat limited and I don't...I shudder to think of living so long, most days.
*quietly* I did mean it when I said that I would do my best to aid you, if you needed it.
I...wish I could do something to make it seem easier. At least I have the luxury of seeing the universe through new eyes every few centuries. ...Or, ah, less.

Date: 2007-03-18 03:06 pm (UTC)*sighs* It probably is. Look, I...don't want to be arguing with you. It serves no purpose and I hate fighting with people I like.

Date: 2007-03-18 03:10 pm (UTC)I do not wish to argue, either. I'm just worried. She deserves to be happy.
...You like me?

Date: 2007-03-18 03:14 pm (UTC)Well, on that we can agree.
*bright smile* Well I should hope so! We are getting married, after all.
no subject
Date: 2007-03-18 03:18 pm (UTC)We've agreed on two things, then. Amazing.
*amused* People get married all the time who don't like each other much. You should have met my first wife.

Date: 2007-03-18 03:24 pm (UTC)I think it's a wonderful start.
*slight smirk* Perhaps if you had accepted her refusal the first time...

I don't take no well.

Date: 2007-03-18 03:32 pm (UTC)*softly* Aislinn did say she'd make sure I took better care of myself. I suppose she has reason to be worried.
*shakes his head* I like the sound of 'friendship', myself.

And she left me.*small smile in return* Cliches have their place.

Date: 2007-03-18 04:58 pm (UTC)Yes, well. You're showing it to me and that helps more than I can say.
*amused* All right. Friendship. Possibly we can even open some intergalactic bar on a moon somewhere.

Date: 2007-03-18 05:09 pm (UTC)...I'm glad, then.
*delightedly* Sounds brilliant. I'm sure it will become properly infamous in due time.

Date: 2007-03-18 05:13 pm (UTC)Granted the interference one doesn't seem as inviolate as Holy Ground, but it does seem to send the head hunters after one.
Yes, well. As am I.
*grins* I should hope so. I'm hardly lending my name to anything that is not.

Date: 2007-03-18 10:27 pm (UTC)Yes, well, if I recited the number of people who've been after my head...
I would never dream of you doing so. I'll let you handle the debauchery, shall I?

*pouts* It's more fun with two.

Date: 2007-03-18 11:05 pm (UTC)Oh, well, it certainly gaurantees a healthy amount of excersize.
*utterly guileless expression* For perfectly innocent reasons, I assure you.
((*glances at previous comment* Talk about attack of the typos. Sorry about that.))
no subject
Date: 2007-03-18 11:15 pm (UTC)This is true.
*amused* Innocent reasons aren't nearly as much fun, Doctor.
((*g* No problem. I do it all the time))

Date: 2007-03-18 11:20 pm (UTC)I'm quite fit by now, I think.
Oh? *slightly bitter smile* I don't know if anyone would believe any others from me.
((*g* Good to know! I'm waiting for the Doctor to rap my knuckles with a ruler.))
