You have to understand that you've gone and gotten yourself involved with a truly immortal creature. You know, unless she gets killed. She may be very young, still, for her kind, but you are still younger than her sister. She has a very different view of time and eternity.

I'm...beginning to understand that. It will probably take me some time to gets used to the idea - that is, the future me. Both of us. I've never travelled with anyone who could live as long as I, or longer, save for Romana. And she left me.

*wry smile* In theory, I could live as long as you, though the likelihood of it isn't all that high. People have a distressing tendency to want to kill me, though so far I've not encountered any of my kind while traveling, so maybe it's a better thing even than I thought. However, having been raised thinking I was human...*shrugs* My views are somewhat limited and I don't...I shudder to think of living so long, most days.

No one I know would dream of it. Even those who seem to disregard lives still follow the rules. Most of them. That one, definitely.

Oh, I'd say they are very rarely simple. You need only to recognise the complexity. Dig deep enough, as it were. ...Not that I promote digging around inside peoples' heads, it's very unpleasant.
