The Doctor was, though one would never hear him admit it, rather giddy. His hands flew lightly over the console, setting coordinates with cheerful confidence. India, 2007. He wasn't too specific; no need to press his luck, and they could find other ways of travel once they arrived. See where the current matches were being played.
Perhaps they could take a train. He hadn't done that since the werewolves, and that was hardly a leisurely ride.
"Winter, then," he murmured, brow furrowed slightly in concentration, though a faint smile lingered on his lips.
Nyssa wanted to go, for him. Perhaps he shouldn't feel so incredibly touched by that, but he did.
He was determined, absolutely determined, that the three of them would have an enjoyable, relaxing time of it. No murder investigations, no devious plots uncovered, no sinister invaders thwarted.
It would be their first trip together since being reunited, and they were going to have fun.

Date: 2007-04-09 05:40 am (UTC)Turlough paused before he joined hands with his friends. What an odd trio. But it was right somehow.
"Couldn't agree more. Aren't we getting a bit sentimental though?" Not that he was complaining.

"We're in this together."

Date: 2007-04-09 09:36 pm (UTC)"For quite some time, I hope," he said softly.
"I think we'll make quite a team."

Date: 2007-04-09 10:50 pm (UTC)Turlough gave the Doctor's hand a tight grip. "For as long as you would like."
"I agree. Not a human aboard."

Date: 2007-04-09 10:57 pm (UTC)Nyssa nodded her agreement. "Quite some time indeed if I have my way."
"Turlough." Nyssa warned, tucking a curl behind her ear. "One of my very good friends is human and they're very capable."

Date: 2007-04-10 04:24 am (UTC)"And I'll agree with that as well," he said sternly, though he squeezed Turlough's hand in turn.
"Many of my very good friends have been capable humans."

Date: 2007-04-11 12:29 pm (UTC)He smiled then, genuinely and brightly smiled. "For quite some time then."
"That's an oxymoron, Doctor."

Date: 2007-04-11 12:34 pm (UTC)"Let's not start. Even teasing, let's not begin that. We should enjoy ourselves and the time we've stolen."
no subject
Date: 2007-04-12 01:06 am (UTC)"Oh, I wouldn't stay stolen. You can't take Time without it's permission, I'm sure." He gently drew away from them as the TARDIS landed, simply watching the two for a moment before gesturing broadly to the door.
"Ladies first, then, isn't it?"
no subject
Date: 2007-04-13 02:27 am (UTC)"Off you go then, Nyssa. Tell us if you really have jinxed us."
no subject
Date: 2007-04-13 04:17 am (UTC)She grinned then and moved to the door, pushing it open and peering out. "Well. So far it seems safe. Come on then."

Date: 2007-04-13 11:58 pm (UTC)He worked it back into its proper shape as he followed, setting it on his head as he stepped out into the light.
He'd tried for February, and the crisp but mild cold seemed to account for that.
"We should be in West Bengal, near Kolkata."

Date: 2007-04-16 12:50 pm (UTC)Turlough followed the Doctor, bringing up the rear and shut the door behind him as he surveyed his surroundings. He crossed his arms over his chest and moved forward a bit.
"Should I be amazed that you seem to have gotten it right?" He asked, good natured under protective sarcasm.

Date: 2007-04-16 12:59 pm (UTC)She looked over her shoulder and smiled to the pair of them. "It's cold." But of course this would be true for her given that her body was accustomed to Traken's warm climate, and then Terminus' controlled temperatures.
"He gets it right just as much as he gets it wrong." Nyssa laughed. "We always end up where we're needed when things go awry."

Date: 2007-04-16 01:08 pm (UTC)"Cold, do you think so? Feels perfectly nice to me." Accordingly, he slipped off his coat and offered it to Nyssa, old memories curving his lips.

Date: 2007-04-16 10:34 pm (UTC)"It's not that cold. Just a bit chilly for these parts, isn't it?"
no subject
Date: 2007-04-17 04:16 am (UTC)"I'm not used to the chill." She admitted, and she accepted the coat with lowered eyes, "Thank you, Doctor."

Date: 2007-04-17 06:38 am (UTC)"Come on, then, we've a bit of a walk ahead of us." He paused then, brow furrowing slightly, before offering both of his hands.
It was a rather silly impulse, really, but...no, that didn't matter.

Date: 2007-04-17 04:12 pm (UTC)"Beige really is your color, you know." Turlough said and he moved to accept the Doctor's hand.
"Walking, right. Better get to it."

Date: 2007-04-17 04:49 pm (UTC)"Where are we walking to?" She asked as she took up the Doctor's other hand

Date: 2007-04-18 07:36 pm (UTC)He wanted to hold on.
"The train station, I hope," he said cheerfully.

Date: 2007-04-19 12:48 am (UTC)"Or shall we walk with no heading?"
no subject
Date: 2007-04-19 05:42 am (UTC)"Besides, I want the day to last, and it's beautiful here...A walk will be lovely."
no subject
Date: 2007-04-19 05:39 pm (UTC)"It is, isn't it? It's been a long time since I've been here."
no subject
Date: 2007-04-20 04:16 am (UTC)"You've been before?"
