Make up a title for a story I didn't write, and I will respond with details of those non-written stories. You may if you like include details, such as pairings or fandom or whatnot.

:D? Please? I might really write them, which would mean I wrote things.

as in the Gay Science?

Aww, I like that one! And that he told her about Omega, who is quite the good example. I also love the conclusion of it. That is all heart-warming and stuff.

well we are talking about Omega

:D Five is good at being reassuring without sugar-coating, if he really tries, and Erimem makes him really try.

I might really write this one. :D I need to write more with Erimem in.
From: [identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com
I like that, though! Because sugar-coating is just... ewwy. Well, no, that's a lie, I love sugar. But it's not as nice as this sort of reassurance.

Do write it please!

only that Omega is the Bitch of Rassilon

I don't think the Doctor ever appreciated it, way back to Theta, so he tries to avoid it unless he knows it would be best? And for Erimem, well, no, it wouldn't. Erimem doesn't know what sugar-coating is.
From: [identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com
That makes sense! And yes, I'm thinking of Kingmaker here. I feel a bit bad for Erimem in that scene with Peri about the poisoning, because it seems to become clear (to me) then that there is a big gap between them in ideas and beliefs.

and you just mocked MY puns

Date: 2009-05-20 06:46 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com
Oh, that scene. It is one of the reasons I do not just dismiss Kingmaker as crack. (It's an AU history, obvs, Five just didn't mention it. > >) I really loved that the addressed that - that Erimem and Peri come from very different cultures, and sometimes Peri just expects Erimem to forget her own, when it's just as valid.

Of course, sometimes the audios forget just where she came from, which is annoying. Or more, frequently, that she's an atheist, or at least agnostic.
From: [identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com
Kingmaker is some bizarre.... cracky sort of dark historical horror story mystery thing. I have no idea, really. It's madness but of the very good sort. And yes! They do very well with it in that scene, for certain.

Oh the audios. I think I remember her actor mentioning in one of the extra-features how, you know, you can get inconsistent writing for a character. It amused me.
From: [identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com
Yeeah. It's awesome but it does BAD BAD THINGS to history. On the other hand, Peri and Erimem alone together for two years...

Heee. SEE, THEY NOTICE TOO. And some audios might as well have never happened, for all their effect on the characters. (Hi, Nekromanteia. You didn't happen.)

You had me so excited for a bit there.

Now THAT would be an epic.

I'm still upset about the CAT in that one. SO UNCALLED FOR. Except that I called it happening, but whatever.

This is why I should be allowed to write canon.

Date: 2009-05-20 07:13 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com
Clearly it should have focused more on that.

ANTRANAK IS PERFECTLY FINE, DAMMIT.

(Of course now Five is all "I was vivisected and you're upset about the blasted cat?" Shut up, Five, YOU GOT BETTER.)

yes plz!!!!!!!!!!

Date: 2009-05-20 07:18 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com
Then again, leaving the empty spaces for fandom to provide---

OF COURSE. NOTHING BAD EVER HAPPENS TO POOR ANTRANAK. RIGHT??

(Exactly! THE CAT DIED. Five just got hurt and everyone knows that's a turn-on for him.)
From: [identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com
That is a wonderful point. ...Well, hop to it, fandom.

HE'S STILL IN THE TARDIS SOMEWHERE. OR PERHAPS HE MET A NICE LADY CAT ON ANOTHER PLANET.

(Five resents your implications. Also, that cat was a menace. He still felt bad. Or would, if it had happened, which it didn't.)

Sounds like the start of a good story--

Date: 2009-05-21 08:04 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] savagestime.livejournal.com
Fandom: *writes Ten/Rose, TenII/Rose and Martha/Ten instead*

I LIKE THE SECOND ONE. Five was far too mean to poor Antranak. He deserves better.

(Five resents my TRUTH. The cat was not a menace! Aww, guilt complex. It's okay, it never happened ever.)

>/

No, no it definitely was not. But then, they ARE Time Lords. Don't be inconsolable, Omega. As a scientist, I would hope you held truth above all pride.

From: [identity profile] cosmic-engineer.livejournal.com
Oh, Time Lords. Just because your Founders were dysfunctional, doesn't mean you should be the same.

My pride is one of the few things I have left to me -- I will not allow that to be taken as well. And I do not recall you ever being overly preoccupied with the truth, Rassilon.

But it's part of The Worshipful and Ancient Law of Gallifrey!

Knowledge is the foundation of my empire, old friend. If I distort what others know of it, it is only for the good of Gallifrey.

Date: 2009-05-24 05:21 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] cosmic-engineer.livejournal.com
Must be in the fine print: "Section 4, paragraph epsilon-gamma dash two: How to deal with political opponents who may also happen to be your significant other. Recommendation: Accidental death by black hole."

Knowledge and passivity, perhaps. Gallifrey has stagnated for millenia since our time.

From: [identity profile] stuffofme.livejournal.com
Hey, he cried, okay!! HE CRIED INTO HIS ICE CREAM OVER AND OMEGA AND THE OTHER MOCKED HIM FOR IT. Goddamned Other, making fun of Rassilon's sobfests while he watched Omega's death again and again and again. That is why Rass executed him.

You know, I've never read Lungbarrow straight through, but that entire section is worth it for the laughs. The Other is such a bastard, making puns about Omega's hand when Rassilon is still clearly in mourning. ...Genocidal mourning.

Not in all aspects. It is salvageable, if capable minds are willing.

Date: 2009-05-24 08:14 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] cosmic-engineer.livejournal.com
Oh man, that was my favorite scene in the whole book. The entire thing can be summed up as the Other going "You really suck at love, and I'm going to poke fun at our dead buddy and his bitchy stellar manipulator." Poor Rassilon.

I fear few minds such as that exist, Rassilon.

Date: 2009-05-25 08:00 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] stuffofme.livejournal.com
Is it any wonder he went crazy? ...well, he was already a bit psycho, but you know what I mean. A man can only endure so many puns about his ex-BFF/lover/political-rival's hand ...and my mind just went places it didn't want to go!

We two still survive. Though it appears you live in a lesser condition than myself.

Also, surely I am not the only one who thought that if we take Zagreus as true with Arc of Infinity, Omega and Rassilon must have had a meet-up in the Matrix?

Date: 2009-05-26 02:11 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] cosmic-engineer.livejournal.com
YOUR MIND IS NAUGHTY. And he was a manageable sort of crazy! The kind of crazy that makes people want to, oh, become President. And, you know, start a revolution. One supernova later, though, and it all goes to pot.

I have survived. That is all that matters.

Oh, you are so not alone. At the very least, Rassilon knew what had happened to him if they didn't meet.

Date: 2009-05-26 04:36 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] stuffofme.livejournal.com
For truly, but I'm willing to bet the Other made HORRIBLE JOKES about that too. See, that's why clearly you should not push your best friend into/arrange for your best friend to descend into/have nothing to do with it as your best friend falls into a singularity. You go from Burning Down Cities crazy to Megalomaniacal Reign of Terror crazy.

But at what cost? What are you now? Who are you, after these many long years?

Quite so! So fandom, why have you not writing me fic about this. Knowing/meeting, I don't care. Fandom, provide.
