Date: 2008-06-05 02:12 am (UTC)I friended you because – well, it's hard to remember, actually, but why wouldn't I friend you? You are lovely and so is Reinette.
Reinette is lovely because you manage to write her true to both history and Doctor Who, to make both her past and personality fit together. I keep saying this to people, but "they're so real" is the best compliment I feel I can give. And, well, she was, and you do her so much justice. All of her flaws, her mistakes, her triumphs, her strengths – none of them are sidelined or disregarded.
Her relationship with the Doctor…you let her miss him terrible without letting it diminish her character. You make her love make so much sense. You and MJ are the reason I love that pairing as much as I do, because you're both such wonderful writers who really believe in them, and portray their relationship beautifully, in all its angst and conflict and tenderness.
