TM Topic #170 - Time

He tries to explain.

"There are some rules that simply can not be broken."

He breaks rules all the time, they say, bending and twisting to save lives, to make things right.

"Yes, I know, but even I can't...look, Time is very resilliant, it lets you get away with any number of things if you're careful, but..."

They stare at him as he speaks, stricken and uncomprehending.

"Look, I can not interfere with my own Timeline! It would have repercussions that you could not begin to understand!"

They turn their backs on him as he recites ancient principles and quotes platitudes of responsibility, clasping their hands together as they head for their room to grieve in peace.

"I'm sorry," he whispers. They do not hear him.

It is a conversation they will never have, because he knows how it will end. Instead, he argues silently with himself as he pretends to repair the console.

(Five and Co. are just generally awesome. <.< Except I don't like Peri. *AHEM*) Ahh, but Five gets so angsty after Adric dies. It's hard not to center them around Adric when he's such a HUGE catalyst in Five's development. ...Oh, Nyssa would be so confused. And quite distressed. And happy. And suspicious. Did we mention happy? And confused? There would be tears.

(I can't make icons to save my life though ljuserpic factory is a help. Nyssa says she resents that. Though not really because I know she's made of awesome.)

(Yes! Awww, poor Peri. I like her mainly because of the audios. Make far better use of her.) He is - his entire view of the universe gets dimmer, and he progressively loses faith in it. And of course he feels guilty, and protective of the friends he has left. That would pretty much be Five's reaction, as well! And poor Adric would probably just be like "buh?"

(See, I didn't bother much with her audios. Or Six. Six scared me. His coat...But, I'll have to look at audios now! I dislike disliking companions.) *pinches Five's cheeks and gives him snuggles* And he is a lovely friend and protector. I'd travel with him in a heartbeat. XD he'd get hugged to death.

YES! *parties!*

(*joins* Which is a shame because she has SO MUCH potential. ...She insists she could have looked for the Brigadier and the Doctor just as well as Tegan did. XD)

(The audios are brilliant by and large. Peri gets to be much more active, played to her strengths, and her relationship with Five and Erimem (original companion) is really fun and sweet. Nyssa's fabulous in them, too! She and Five are so wonderful together.) Five: *is rather alarmed and a tad pink but surrenders to snuggling* XD Same here! Granted, I might try to become the therapist he so desperately needs.

(I'll most definitely check out Peri's audios. I do have some of Nyssa's. And I agree. Brilliant. Audios tend to flesh out the characters more. YES. Nyssa and Five are...something else.) *kisses Five's cheek* You should marry me. No, really. You should. :D Hurray for Five!therapy.

(Ah, well. I'll flush out her potential. Personally I think Tegan arrived at a bad time. Adric and Nyssa would have had better development if she arrived later.)

(*grins* Glad I've convinced you! Most of them are just wonderful. Great mix of characterisation, plot, angst and humour. Erimem is one of my favourite companions ever. [/gushing] They are! She really is suited to him so well.) He's gone rigid. ;p And a bit red.

(I can't wait to see you do so! *grins* Yeah, I thought so too - too many people, for one (well, for the writers at the time) and Tegan is just such a dominating presence.)

(You'll find when it comes to Doctor Who and Fivey especially I'm easily swain. I'll devote my next paycheck to audios then. <.< Self control, what? Where? Haha. They were a wonderful team, really. They should have had a few televised adventures when they left Tegan behind a while. They would have been amazing.) XD BUT I HAVE JELLY BABIES, FIVEY. *ahem, collects self*

(Do you have the mod's email? I used the one on the site and apparently she doesn't mod at TM anymore. She SAID she'd forward the app but I want to be sure. -- And yeah, I adore Tegan, mostly because Nyssa does but she draws a lot of attention to herself.)

(*giggles* As am I. Although I have slightly less moral methods of obtaining my addiction. *nods* I wish! That's why I like their audios so much, we at least get to hear that. And, well, Spare Parts.) Five: *MEEPS* XD

(tv at theatrical muse dot net, I believe? *nods* Took me a bit to warm up to Tegan but I'm quite fond of her now - she just...dominates the screen, pretty much.)

(all right, app sent again. *fingers crossed :D* Yeah, I took a while too. At first I was just "wtf! Show Nyssa and Adric, kthx!" and then I warmed, because even if she was dominating the way she developed with Nyssa and Adric was nice.)

(He really is. Unless Tegan's being the mature one. XD I really love them all to death. Five ahd really remarkable companions. Even Turlough was fun.)

(I'm off to bed, but I'll be on AIM tomorrow, like a true invasive pup, she has her own screen name "The Trakenite") He didn't get so lucky. His typist gave him to me in exchange for marriage to Romana I from desperatescreen who I also type for. ...Nyssa would like to offer slipping a sedative into my tea.

(<3 I may using a bit of my desperatescreen interaction in prompts because our Turlough there is amazing and he and Nyssa get on surprisingly well. Adorably during one of their interactions Nyssa made a comment about trust and he got all adorable on her and said "You shouldn't trust me." It was "Awww" worthy.)

(Noted! ^_^ I have class (eeeewww) but I'll be on by 3:30 CDT. *beam*) I know. I'm positively wicked. :D Nyssa gives a pouty look and silently insists a sedative is a nonviolent measure and worked on me rather well thankyouverymuch.

(They should've. Alas. I've been accepted, just waiting for the invite. I'll post an intro soonish. Keep an eye out.)
