Comment here to find out what the Doctor really thinks of your character. The truth, I mean, not just what he'd tell you, and not just what he thinks he thinks.
Five loves Sarah - and it's easier for him to show it, because Four loved Sarah, and a lot of things were easier back then. Everything he admired about her is still there, even seen through new eyes; sometimes, relationships will change with a regeneration, but he's never wondered why he called her his best friend. (And he would like to say he left her behind because he loves her so much; she's so strong, but strong people die too. He wants to tell her about Sara one day.)
Five has interacted with Jenny much more in Paradisa, obviously, but his feelings wouldn't be much different - she's his daughter, and she's beautiful and brilliant and he'd do anything to keep her safe and happy. There's a bit of a struggle there, between wanting to see her flourish and wanting to protect her from everything ever. He hasn't had a daughter for a long time, and he's still a bit awed by it.
In Paradisa - Susan died there, before her came, so that adds to the protectiveness.
SO. This Five is still happily in denial of the extent of his feelings for the Master, especially after, well, murdering him. It still hurts, and he misses him, but he shouldn't, so he ignores it, and it just festers.
The Master's voice, of course, was the last thing he ever heard, so take that as you will. ;p
Dorothy! Dorothy confuses him, because he remembers being fond of her as a character in books his granddaughter loved and now here she is. It's difficult to make sense of, but it's also wonderful because it's so new and strange, and Dorothy herself...
Well, she's like him in some ways, and so unlike him in others, and that makes her so fun to talk to, because she understands and offers new perspectives and they can teach each other, and she's sort of like the niece he never had? Probably never had.
She also makes him think of Susan sometimes, which...well. If he gets very protective that would be part of it.
Blasphemy. :| Tegan did make him eat it once though.
THIS MASTER. Is infuriating, and Five hates him.
Except he REALLY LOVES bickering with him. He missed that after he killed his Master. And while this Master is different, he's still...the Master. And he's new which is intriguing, and you know Theta was the kid who put his hand in the fire to see how it felt.
TARDIS. What can one say, really? She's his home, his oldest friend, the love of his lives. Without her he'd be broken and devastated. She's part of him, intrinsically.
They may disagree sometimes, they may hurt each other without meaning too, but he will always, always love her to death. Even if she insults his companions.
Ace is his future, so he tries not to get too many details, but he can't help but linger, because she's...Ace. She's smart and brave and a bit worrying, actually, but he's used to that so that's okay.
He's so glad he'll get to know her, truly and properly, that he'll be a part of who she becomes - she's been through so much with him, he knows that, and he hopes she'll never regret it.
She makes him laugh, and blush, and shake his head, and if ever hurts her by Omega he will hit himself. With a cricket ball. :|
ADAM. Is tricky. Because he was willing to kill so many people, and the Doctor can't just forget that - but he also wants a better world. He's very cunning, very brave, very wounded, a bit insane. The Doctor is drawn to all of those, obvs, and he wants to help him...be something else. Live up to his potential in a less harmful way.
Okay, so. He admired Byron before ever meeting him, and he continues to do so. Because Byron is extraordinary. He hurts people, including himself; he has flaws and vices and weaknesses - but that's fine, that's human, and Five wants to help him with all of that and be the person he wants to be, to reach his potential again. He has so much faith in him.
Of course he's a bit biased, because Byron is intelligent and clever and strong and funny and gorgeous and he just likes spending time with him and feeling freer than he has in a long, long time. They've both gone through so much - there are a lot of differences, of course, but he still felt a kinship there very early on and it's only grown.
That thing up there, about Five feeling free? Yeah. Aislinn makes him feel so much more comfortable, with himself and her - like he's allowed to just relax and feel, like he's doing something right.
They were friends first, of course, because she's fascinating, and compelling, and she tries to hard and she's suffered so much, and he wanted desperately to be there for her. Of course this developed, as they got to know each other more and more, and now he can't imagine it going any other way.
Evie is adorable. She's...Methos and Wes and Fred, and though Five hasn't actually interacted with them all that much? He likes them. (They may have made him feel more confident about threesomes. > >)
She's so young - and too reckless and too clever and too mischievous, so a bit like him actually. It's familiar and endearing, and he wants to be protective without being smothering so he kind of lingers on that line? And he knows her parents are there for her.
One of the few things both Fives agree on! Though d!Five's Melissa is of course older, and more tragic. But they are both brilliant.
She's everything he loves about humans in general - curiosity, determination, will, awe, excitement, change - and she reminds him a bit of himself, too, and she's interesting and engaging and just fun to talk to. He might well know for a fact that she goes on to do great things and change the world, but of course he wouldn't SAY that, because, Time. > >
Sarah goes awww at the response. She also wishes to argue with him that loving her so much is not a reason, but I think it's an argument she won't win. I am curious about Sara now, and suddenly kind of miss rp'ing with your non-Paradisa Five and SJ (though I do <3 rp'ing with Paradisa Five and SJ too).
And again, awwww, but Jenny this time. She's just going to drive him insane, I think, really. I so need to get active in there now that shcool's settling down. >>

Eleven just makes Five happy. She's him, but she's more cheerful and confident and hopeful, though still wise and ancient and brilliant.
He's glad that he'll be her some day, and for now he'll just enjoy her company.
(There are, by the way, two of his selves he fancies - Eleven, and Eight. Clearly, they should all have tea.)
