I thought it only fair, really, and...well, if there's anything you'd like to know, trivial or otherwise, here's a convenient way to ask.

Ask me five questions! Any five questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Be as crazy as you want.

Fancy a game of field hockey?

What's your honest opinion of me?

Do you think I'm pretty?

When I ask this question, what's the first memory that pops to your mind?

If I said that I loved you, Doctor, would you understand?

...You understand, don't you, Doctor? Why I elected to stay behind on Terminus?

Thinking back on our time together, what is your favorite memory of that time? Whether it was with the pair of us and ...Adric and Tegan or with Turlough or...when it was just us. The fondest memory with me in it?

Are we still intending to visit Traken?

On that note, are we still intending to go to India to watch cricket?

What's it like? Having Turlough and I back aboard the TARDIS, I mean...?

Why Earth, Doctor? I mean, I know it's a lovely place, but why the affinity there and not some other planet?

What's your favourite type of tea?

Biscuits or Bath Buns?

Have you had any odd dreams, lately? (Describe!)

Imagine, if you will, that you are not a Time Lord, but one of the Eternals competing in the race for the prize of Enlightenment. What style will you deck your interstellar ship out in?

Field hockey? I suppose it's rather obvious what I prefer but if you'd like to...

You are compassionate, intelligent, clever, courageous, and rather infuriating about it at times.

...Of course I do. I know I don't..really say so, but...you're a very attractive woman, Sarah. Though of course you're far more than that.

A very stubborn young woman who persists in demanding answers.

...Not entirely, Sarah. Your mind and heart are your own and I'm not quite arrogant enough to claim that I understand them utterly.

Cricket, Doctor, yes I know. If you'd still like afterwards, I suppose I could return the favour.

Thank you, on all of that. I think that second question was worth it just to see you fluster about. *grins brightly*

Maybe I should have phrased that question better. I think I meant would you have accepted it.

Yes, Nyssa, I do, and I remain incredibly proud of you for making that decision. For helping so many people. That...does not mean I worried less, or missed you less.

I...must I choose one? ...June 11th, 1925. Cranleigh Halt. Cricket and masquerade balls. I...I know it didn't end very well but we had...fun, for a while. Peace. I wish I could have given you that more often.

Of course we are. I wouldn't go back on my word.

Of course we are! If you still want to?

It's...rather like a dream, really. One I don't particularly want to wake up from. I never thought I would see either of you again, and to have you travelling with me again is...unbelievable. Very pleasantly unbelievable.

It was...very refreshing, after Gallifrey. Things change there, Romana. More rapidly than on many of the worlds I've been to. There's such variety, such vitality. Such potential. It was also...the first place I arrived, with Susan. She was more fond of it than I at first and I believe I've come to associate it with her. With my first companions, as well, the first true friends I'd made in quite a long time.

I honestly couldn't choose. Depends on my mood, really.

Biscuits.

Can't say I have. I don't dream often, there's hardly time, and who knows what may intrude. Have you?

I would use an aeroplane.

That sounds...fun.

You are absolutely horrible. *grins back*

I couldn't very well deny you your own emotions, and besides that you're a grown woman. If I attempted to say, perhaps, that you didn't, that you were confused, I might well get yelled at and I'd deserve it.

Honestly, I...can't say I wish you didn't because...

I only wish I could give you what you deserve, in such a matter. Could have given you.

*giggles* You wouldn't want me to be any other way.

You very well would get yelled at, and very much deserve it. Although you have me curious: because what, Doctor?

I don't believe the rest of it, though. You've given me everything, I'd say. And I wouldn't change a second of it.

*tips his hat* Right you are.

...Well. Unrequited feelings are rather difficult to deal with.

Nor would I, and I'm so very glad you feel that way, but... *softly* You deserve someone who can stay with you.

*quietly* I'd rather have someone who truely loved me the way I love him for a short time than someone who didn't for a long time. You're worth all the pain the future will bring.

There, I've said it. It's rather obvious though, isn't it? I love you, Doctor.
