It Seems There Was A Tie

I am, of course, none other than blank verse.
I don't know where I'm going, yes, quite right;
And when I get there (if I ever do)
I might not recognise it. So? Your point?
Why should I have a destination set?
I'm relatively happy as I am,
And wouldn't want to be forever aimed
Towards some future path or special goal.
It's not to do with laziness, as such.
It's just that one the whole I'd rather not
Be bothered - so I drift contentedly;
An underrated way of life, I find.
What Poetry Form Are You?

If they told you I'm mad, then they lied.
I'm odd, but it isn't compulsive.
I'm the triolet, bursting with pride;
If they told you I'm mad, then they lied.
No, it isn't obsessive. Now hide
All the spoons or I might get convulsive.
If they told you I'm mad then they lied.
I'm odd, but it isn't compulsive.
What Poetry Form Are You?

I suppose there is truth to both.

So you're not mad then? *teasing grin*

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
*slow grin* Mad? Not in the least. Do you think I should change my celery?

[identity profile] of-traken.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
... *giggles*

I think it's likely time for a new sprig, yes.

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Perhaps I should consider a change. Cauliflower, perhaps? It would match my jumper.

[identity profile] of-traken.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Or you could wear a flower like everyone else does. Traken has a lovely sort of lily that would match...

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, but that would require me to...do something that everyone else does.

What other kinds of flowers did Traken have?

[identity profile] of-traken.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
You always have danced to the beat of your own drum, Doctor.

Oh, there were plenty. You've been to Traken, Doctor. *pauses though and speaks, distantly* There were flowers in every color that you can imagine, with perfume scents and sweet nectar...Flowers that towered above one's head all bright and merry...Flowers that changed color upon occasion as well.

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
*softly* I have, but I like to hear you speak of its beauty. It becomes even more so, through your voice.

We...could take some with us, if you like, when we visit.

[identity profile] of-traken.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
*shyly* I personally believe they are more beautiful in person, but to each their own, yes?

...Could we?

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Always.

*nods earnestly* Oh, yes - we could put them in your room, if you like. They won't age if the TARDIS doesn't want them to.

[identity profile] of-traken.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
...I would like that very much. I should probably see about new perfume as well. I'm running rather low, and it's frivolous, certainly. But unlike my Traken Court clothing the perfume can be worn anywhere without receiving odd looks.

...I'll have to thank the TARDIS then for keeping them immortal.

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
*softly* I would not call it frivolous. *small smile* Do you suppose Turlough and I should attempt to find suitable attire?

I am sure the TARDIS will appreciate your gratitude.

[identity profile] of-traken.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)
*just as soft* No? *and then a smile as well* I'm sure you and Turlough would look quite fetching in stately robes of the Traken Court. Beige for you? Navy for Turlough?

I'm glad then.

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
*smile widens* Sounds perfectly fine to me, provided we can get him out of his tie.

[identity profile] of-traken.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
For someone who had such a dislike for Earth Vislor does seem fond of that tie...
