Young.
Celery.
Cricket.
Blond.
Sweet. (Peri said it first!)
Did I say young? Oh, I did. Uh, bat.
Stripes.
Team.
Enlightenment.
Breakfast.

*bemused* Breakfast?

(...Peri said I was sweet?)

Now this is on the difficult side, as I need to differentiate the two of you and it all ends up muddled, but.

Our discussion the other day does stick in my mind for the very lovely way in which you blush.

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-03-28 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
*succesfully represses just that* I suppose I should take that as a compliment? *blithe smile* I must admit, pink looks rather good on you as well.

[identity profile] the-corsair.livejournal.com 2007-03-28 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I could have come up with a memory to cause it I'm sure, but I was trying to behave.

*grins* Most things look good on me.

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-03-29 10:46 am (UTC)(link)
You have my utmost gratitude. *raises eyebrows* Not everything? I do believe your ego is shrinking.

[identity profile] the-corsair.livejournal.com 2007-03-29 03:02 pm (UTC)(link)
*amused bow*

Not everything, no. Trust me, in years of abusing my body almost every way possible, I've discovered some things don't look good on anyone.

[identity profile] capturedworlds.livejournal.com 2007-03-28 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
So, we haven't actually, formally, met, you and me, though I guess they have. But that makes it a bit hard to just give you a compliment off the top of my head. I mean, it's obviously going to be superficial in a way that it wouldn't be if we actually knew each other, and I could say something more than a surface observation. And now I'm rambling. I do that when I get nervous. Sorry.

Um, right. A compliment. You have very nice eyes. And I don't just mean the color. They're deep eyes, and you can tell you've seen a lot through them, but they're still kind. That's a hard thing to manage and speaks well of the sort of person you are.

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-03-28 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose we haven't, no - it's a pleasure to meet you, then.

*bashful smile* That is a perfectly lovely compliment, thank you. I hope I manage to live up to such an impression.

And really, there's no need to worry about rambling, I tend to do it myself. I can go on for quite a while if not stopped.

[identity profile] capturedworlds.livejournal.com 2007-03-28 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a pleasure to meet you, too. *bright smile*

Well, I suppose time will tell that. I'm pretty good at reading people, though, so I'm not overly worried about being disappointed.

Really? It tends to drive people crazy sometimes, or so Mama tells me rather frequently. My grandfather called me "Chatterbox" when I was little and...I'm doing it again...

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-03-29 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
*chuckles* I assure you, I don't mind.

Have you always been so perceptive?

[identity profile] capturedworlds.livejournal.com 2007-03-29 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
You say that now....

*small shrug* I guess so. It's just one of those things.

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-03-29 10:44 am (UTC)(link)
I rarely go back on my word. *faint smile* I enjoy listening, provided I'm not being distracted from saving a world.

It's quite a useful talent, I should imagine.

[identity profile] capturedworlds.livejournal.com 2007-03-29 03:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I can see that about you. And I like to think I wouldn't chatter when someone was doing something so important as saving the world, though I haven't ever been in that position, so I can't really say for sure. But I met a girl who kills vampires and demons so maybe one day I'll find out.

*doesn't sound excited about that at all. ok. maybe a little*

*small frown* I suppose so, except you see a lot of things you maybe didn't want to know right away, sometimes.

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-03-30 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
It seems to be a defense mechanism for some, which I can certainly understand but really, sometimes I simply need to concentrate.

*softly* I see. I hope it's more often a gift than a burden.

...Did you say vampires?

[identity profile] capturedworlds.livejournal.com 2007-03-30 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
I think I'm pretty good at letting people concentrate? Mama and Daddy always had work at home, and they mostly got it done.

*small shrug* It is what it is.

....Yes?

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-03-30 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
*grins* We should get a long splendidly, then. In fact, I believe we already are.

*eyes narrow as he becomes quite, quite concerned* There are no vampires. Or...or there shouldn't be.

[identity profile] capturedworlds.livejournal.com 2007-03-30 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
So it seems. *smiles*

*tilts her head* I'm not crazy. I mean, I haven't necessarily seen one, but they have to exist and Faith doesn't seem nuts either, and if fairies and ghosts do and she says she's running around killing vampires, I have to believe she is.

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-03-30 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
*eyes widen* I apologise, I never meant to imply that you were. It's simply that...the vampires I know of are extinct. I watched the last remnants of them crumble to dust before my eyes.

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-03-30 10:48 am (UTC)(link)
*eyes widen once more, with surprise that she thought to ask* Ah, no, though the inhabitants were human. The last Great Vampire managed to pull their ship into the universe he was trapped in.

[identity profile] capturedworlds.livejournal.com 2007-03-30 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
*logically*

Well, then maybe those vampires are extinct, but that doesn't say much about anything on Earth does it?

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-03-30 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
...Perhaps. I suppose it's possible that there's a similar species on Earth, though I'd have though I would have encounted them by now.

*faint smile* Thank you for being so utterly rational about all of this, few would be.

[identity profile] capturedworlds.livejournal.com 2007-03-30 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
*small shrug, rueful smile* I've seen enough strange things, what are vampires and aliens?

[identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com 2007-03-31 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
*smile becomes a grin* A wonderful attitude to have. What have you seen, if you don't mind my asking?

Remember I'm the muse, not the poet....
